The Tenth Annual Betty Lynn Buckley Awards Ceremony was May 20th at Casa Manana. North Crowley presented "LITTLE WOMEN" this year and had three nominations winning "Best Musical" for a second time in the eight years competing. Congratulations to the nominees/winners of the cast for another successful musical!!!

The North Crowley Fine Arts Department presented “Children of Eden” this year 2010/2011. This production is entered in the prestigious Betty Buckley Competition for the ninth year. North Crowley has had 35 nominations and 10 awards in the past 8 years it was entered including Best Musical (2 times 2006 and 2010).

Musical Awards

The Betty Lynn Buckley Awards
The Betty Lynn Buckley Awards celebrates excellence in musical theatre production among participating Tarrant County high schools. A distinguished panel of judges recognizes these schools for their achievements in 16 different award categories, including: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Musical, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Excellence in Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Scenic Design, Best Student Orchestra, Best Ensemble Actor, Best Ensemble Actress and Excellence in Choreography. In select award categories, there are awards based upon the budget size of the school. All of the awards are presented on-stage during a live ceremony at Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas.
